Initially, the screening was scheduled for March 9, but was canceled after a member fell ill. Sources said CBFC will start screening tomorrow. The film remained stuck in a month-long legal impasse in the court battle over non-issuance of the censor certificate.

However, the film was postponed when the CBFC withheld the certificate citing certain scenes that could affect the religious sentiments of a section of people. Additionally, a member who watched the film lodged a complaint that the film contained military-related references, but a defense expert was not part of the group that watched the film.

Subsequently, the creator of Jan Naygan Approached the court on January 6 demanding to speed up the process. The move resulted in a month-long standoff Jan Naygan Team and CBFC. However, the team withdrew the case and agreed to send the film to a revising committee.
