Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has responded in a humorous tone after BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut called him ‘useless’ and ‘unemployed’. Speaking to journalist Barkha Dutt, Das joked that Kangana might have alienated him because, as one of his friends said, he “looks a bit like a young Hrithik Roshan”. This comment has come amid the ongoing war of words between the two.

Asked about Kangana’s repeated personal comments over the past few days, Das said he was surprised to find himself at the center of criticism from the actor-politician.

“My friends were messaging me asking, ‘Why is she after your life now?’ One of them said that I might look a bit like a young Hrithik Roshan. Is this true? This is what my friends told me after all this. I was pleasantly surprised. Why would she want to attack someone like me?” He said laughing.

However, he said that he has nothing personal against Kangana.

Das further said that disagreements should be resolved through dialogue rather than personal attacks. “I have nothing personal against Kangana Ranaut. She is the one who is making personal comments against Gen-Z and now against me,” he said, referring to the Instagram story posted earlier in the day.

“I have already said on my Instagram story today, ‘Yo Kangana, just take a chill pill. Let’s talk about this.’ It should be like this. The problem in this country is that people don’t talk anymore. There is less deliberation, less discussion and less debate. We need to be able to communicate while respecting each other.”

Das also urged Kangana to be more mindful of her words and said her comments seemed “disappointing”. He said that public representatives should be careful while speaking about the young generation of the country as they are ultimately answerable to the people.

Saurav Das says he is ready for talks

Despite the talks, Das said that he is ready to talk to Kangana if she wants. He said, “If Kangana wants to talk to me, she can well call. I am happy to talk to her.” He reiterated that he bears no personal ill will towards the actor.

Responding to Kangana calling him “useless” and “unemployed”, Das said he did not take the comments personally.

“Why should anyone get hurt? She is hurting the future generation of this country. I have no ill will towards her personally. She called me useless and unemployed. I work, It doesn’t work like that, right?. Their Google is also giving them wrong information.

What encouraged the exchange?

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das’s latest comments come after Kangana Ranaut stepped up her criticism through a series of Instagram Stories. The actor questioned his claim of being a student, pointed to his achievements at the age of 28 and described him as “completely useless and unemployable”.

His comments came after Das criticized his comments on Gen-Z and the CJP-led NEET-UG 2026 protests.

After this controversy, reactions are also coming from other people in the entertainment industry. Actresses Rakhi Sawant and Sonu Sood also criticized Kangana’s comments, with Sawant calling her comments inappropriate and Sood saying that such comments were shameful.
