Actor Paresh Rawal has claimed that the story that became OMG 2 started as an idea that he developed with director Amit Rai. He said that the direction of the film later changed and he was not credited for the original concept.

Actor Paresh Rawal has claimed that this story is finally done oh my god 2 It began as an idea that he developed with director Amit Rai, adding that he was not credited for the story or concept. The actor also said that the project changed a lot after actor Akshay Kumar’s involvement, due to which he distanced himself from the film.

Paresh, in an interview with Vicky LalwaniSaid for his YouTube channel that his original version was a father-son drama that dealt with sex education, public humiliation and the parents’ fight for justice. He added that it does not involve God or any other divine characters and was never envisioned as a direct sequel. Oh God.

According to Paresh, the saddest thing was that the basic premise was not being accepted. He said, “The saddest thing is that I was not even given credit for the story or concept. My name was not mentioned anywhere.”

The actor also claimed that several personalities from the industry knew where the story originated from. Paresh said, “Amit, Akshay, Ashwin, Ajay Devgan, Karan Johar and Salman Khan all know that it was my idea and my story. Ajay and Salman probably said no because of the subject. They felt it could be controversial. I tried to explain the concept to them.”

Paresh remembered director Amit Rai, whose Confluence route He praised the initial premise. Paresh highlighted that the story focuses on a schoolboy whose private act is recorded and broadcast, leading to him being socially ostracized, with his father trying to defend him and challenge the shame imposed on the child.

The 71-year-old revealed that Akshay later approached him to star in the film, but he declined because he no longer recognized it as the story he had helped develop.

“I spoke to Akshay. He asked me to do the film. I told him, ‘No. This is not the film I had imagined. God has no role in this story.’ He tried to convince me, but I was living with the script from the beginning. I knew exactly what it was supposed to be. So I left,” he said. Pankaj Tripathi eventually played the role of the father, while Akshay appeared as a “messenger of Shiva”.
