Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel are teaming up for NTR 31, which will be a standalone film, breaking the trend of multipart film series. Sapta Sagardache Aloe fame Rukmini Vasanth is rumored to play the lead role.

Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel are collaborating for NTR 31. In contrast to Neill’s filmmaking style, it is being reported that the action drama will be a standalone film, with no plans for a sequel or prequel.

With this, both Neil and Jr. NTR will deviate from the trend of multipart film series. Neil’s previous projects, KGF and Salaar, and Jr NTR’s recent release Devara: Part 1 are all series. While the third part will be made for KGF, other parts for Salar and Devara are also in the pipeline.

Shooting of NTR 31 expected to begin In Hyderabad in late October or first week of November, Jr. NTR will join the sets later between January and February 2025. Actress Rukmini Vasanth of Saptha Sagardache Aloo fame is rumored to play the lead role, although neither she nor the producer has confirmed the same. The film is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026Production houses Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts are backing the project.

It is also reported that NTR 31 will be a serious, action-packed entertainer, which will be in line with Neil’s directorial style. Given the box-office success of Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1, which was released recently, and Prashant Neel’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which was released in theaters on December 22, 2023, the project is also generating significant discussion.

Jr NTR will next be seen in YRF Spy Universe’s War 2, which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. It is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025.
