Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan overtook a treasure of unforgettable cinematic moments that continue to resonate with the audience. Today is a symbol of the 5th death anniversary of him and his close friend and filmmaker Shujit Sirkar, sharing hearty memories and photos from Piku’s set, paying an emotional tribute. He also revealed that he has completed his next project with Irfan’s son Babil Khan.

Today (April 29), taking it to Instagram, Shujit Sirkar gave an emotional note for his dear friend and actor Irrfan Khan. He shared a series of photographs behind the set of Picu, and reflected on the absence of the actor, expressing how Irfan’s appearance is still in memories, conversations and even daily routines.

The filmmaker also opened that he remembers his casual moments, which shares Jhal Muri, deep philosopher chat and spontaneous laughter. Shujit mentioned that he continues to be close to Irfan’s family, especially his son Babil Khan, who has become a small partner for him.

He shared that he recently wrapped a film with Babil, which is proudly watching because the young actors slowly enter their father’s formidable artistic legacy.

Shujit wrote, “Main and Ronnie, we have just finished a film project with Babil. He is growing as a good artist, gradually making his place in the industry.”

Although the words may be short, their tribute was a beautiful reminder of a friendship that could not disappear time and exceptionally as Irfan Khan as a permanent effect of a talent.

Irrfan Khan died after battling neuroendocrine tumors on 29 April 2020 on 29 April 2020 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
