Soon after, we informed our readers that the film will star Kiara Advani and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Toxic is currently on the floors and the makers are aiming to bring this action film to the big screen in 2025. And now, Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Yash and his producing partner, KVN, are planning to make Toxic a global project.
According to sources close to the incident, fame and are in talks with KVN Productions 20th Century Fox will come on board as the international distributor of the gangster drama. “Discussions are at a very early stage but the intention is to make Toxic a global project. Yash strongly believes that the storytelling pattern and visuals of Toxic are in line with international projects and is exploring the possibility of partnering with a global giant for a large-scale release,” revealed a source close to the development.
We will have a clearer picture on the closing regarding the international distribution of Toxic by the summer of 2025, as negotiations continue with several players, although 20th Century Fox is the frontrunner. “Yash and Geetu Mohandas are aiming to bring Toxic to the big screen in December 2025. The exact date has not been decided yet and the makers will take a decision as the shooting gets closer to completion,” the source said.
Toxic is one of the most awaited films of 2025, and the film is set in the post-independence era, with Yash seen like never before. The film will be released in multiple languages - from Kannada to Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam among others. Apart from Toxic, Yash is also a part of Ramayana directed by Nitish Tiwari starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Sunny Deol. This film will be released on the big screen in Diwali 2026.
