Actor Trisha Krishnan shared a few solo pictures on social media after attending a wedding reception in Chennai with actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay. The appearance immediately attracted the attention of fans online.
Both the actors attended the reception organized for the son of filmmaker Kalpana Suresh and Meenakshi on Thursday. Both Vijay and Trisha reached the venue together in the same car and were also seen leaving the event together.

For the occasion, the actors opted for traditional attire, with many fans taking note of their coordinated looks. A video circulating online showed Vijay stepping out of the car with a bouquet while Trisha followed him as they welcomed guests at the venue.
Later, Trisha posted two solo pictures from the evening on her Instagram account. While sharing the pictures he wrote, “Thank you very much for always supporting me.” The post soon caught the attention of fans, many of whom flooded the comments section with messages of praise and support.

This outing has happened at a time when Vijay’s personal life is in the headlines. His wife Sangeetha Sornalingam filed for divorce in December 2025 after 27 years of marriage. In the petition, she cited “persistent mental cruelty, neglect and abandonment” as reasons for seeking to end the marriage and requested that the proceedings be held in private.

Vijay and Sangeeta were married in 1998 in the United Kingdom, followed by another ceremony in India in 1999. In recent weeks, the case has been subject to public scrutiny as discussion about the case continues.
On February 27, the divorce petition filed by Sangeeta surfaced online. In the petition filed in the Chengalpattu District Court, she sought dissolution of her 27-year-old marriage citing infidelity, mental cruelty, neglect and abandonment as grounds for divorce. In the petition, he alleged that Vijay was involved in an extramarital affair with a female actor.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Vijay may pay Rs 250 crore as alimony to Sangeeta as part of the divorce settlement. The couple have two children.
