Anshula Kapoor’s wedding celebrations with her fiance Rohan Thakkar have officially begun. The first pictures shared online showed the Kapoor family coming together and highlighting Punjabi wedding traditions.
Anshula Kapoor has started her wedding celebrations with fiance Rohan Thakkar by sharing the first pictures from Mata Ki Chowki, which was attended by several members of the Kapoor family. On Monday, the 33-year-old posted pictures from the ceremony on Instagram, which was also attended by Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor.
The pictures gave the first glimpse of the festivities and showed the family in traditional attire.

Anshula wore a golden lehenga with phulkari dupatta for the function. She paired it with a gold neckpiece, matching earrings, bangles and maangtikka and tied her hair in a neat bun. Rohan matched the festive mood in red kurta and pajama.
In the caption of her post, Anshula wrote, “Wearing a phulkari dupatta felt especially meaningful for the occasion. Deeply rooted in Punjabi tradition, it is a celebration of the heritage, craftsmanship, and blessings passed down from generations of women. For Punjabi brides, phulkari has long been a part of life’s most meaningful milestones, and I can’t think of a more fitting way to start this new chapter than with Ro (sic).”
Shanaya had earlier also shared moments from the pre-wedding rituals on Instagram, where the family members were seen smiling in traditional attire.
More about the couple
Anshula and Rohan got engaged in July 2025. Sharing pictures of the proposal, he wrote, “We started talking at 1.15 on Tuesday and kept talking for hours. Three years later, in my favorite city, in front of the palace in Central Park, he proposed!” She said that the proposal happened at exactly 1.15am IST, the same time they first spoke, making it feel “like magic”. The couple met on a dating app in 2022.
Anshula also wrote that although she never believed in fairy tales, the proposal felt “intentional, thoughtful, real, to us”, adding, “I said yes. There were ugly tears, shaky laughter and a kind of happiness I can’t put into words.”
