AANAND L Rai called the AI version of Raanjhanaa a betrayal after the manufacturer’s statement
Filmmaker Aanand L Rai said in a long note on social media that he neither supports or approves the AI-revised version of ‘Raanjhana’, describes it unofficially. The film was originally released in 2013.

Acting by Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, amid growing tensions around the release of ‘Raanjhana’, filmmaker Ianand L. Rai has publicly expressed his strong rejection through social media.
Sharing a long message on Instagram, he referred to change as a “betrayal”, and described recent developments as “deeply disturbing”.
“In the last three weeks, the real and depth has been harassed. To see ‘Ranjhanna’, a film arising out of care, struggle, cooperation and creative risk, is being replaced, being released again without my knowledge or consent. And the comprehensive creative community reminds me what was the original ‘ragjana’ originally: Connection, courage and truth.
The director firmly stated that he neither supports nor supports the AI-reflected version of ‘Ranajna’, called unauthorized. “I had no participation in it. Nor did the team originally made a film. Regardless of whatever it is, it is not a film that we have been set to make. ‘Raunjana’ was never a film for us, it was not a work of human flaws and real emotions.
Rai paid tribute to the original creative team behind ‘Raanjhana’ including writer, artists, musicians, lyricists, technicians and crew. Following the announcement of the A-Edited Edition, Rai had already expressed serious concern about the issue of artistic rights and consent.

‘Ranjana’, in the lead roles of Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, was released in 2013. It has received both significant praise and commercial success, and over the years, has achieved a cult status among the audience.
