The trailer launch of Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups has been canceled as the film’s release date has been pushed from March to June 2026. This change follows the cinema disruption in the Middle East.

The decision comes after the makers have decided to postpone it due to the ongoing instability in the Middle East, which is affecting cinema operations in that region.

The organizers had planned an extensive promotional campaign with media professionals from across India attending the Bengaluru event, which was intended to mark the beginning of the final promotional phase of the film before its previously planned release of 19 March. It was believed that this film would clash with Ranveer Singh’s film. Dhurandhar: Revenge On 19 March. But, Aditya Dhar-film will have a single release.

The film’s team cited disruption in key overseas markets, especially the Gulf region, as the primary reason for the postponement. Tensions increased in West Asia after the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran. Tehran retaliated by launching missile attacks on Israel and US targets in the Middle East. The struggle and strike has been going on for five days. The strategic delay was made following discussions with distribution partners to ensure a smooth global rollout.

With cinema operations facing disruptions, the production house decided to rearrange its entire promotional calendar. All other promotional activities including the trailer launch have been temporarily halted until closer to the new release date.

In an official statement, producers KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations reiterated that the film was conceived as a global cinematic experience, shot simultaneously in Kannada and English with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. He stressed that although the decision to reschedule was difficult, it was taken in the best interests of audiences and distribution partners around the world.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Yash, the film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. The project is deployed for worldwide release in multiple languages.

The production team noted that the campaign would be reorganized and relaunched closer to the new June date. The purpose of the postponement is to maximize access to both domestic and international markets.

A new promotion roadmap will be announced in the coming weeks. Till then, fans will have to wait for the first detailed look of the much-awaited film.
