Jana Nayakan producer K Venkat Narayan on Sunday said the unreleased film starring Vijay will release as soon as it gets clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). His comments came soon after Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The film, which was originally scheduled to release in theaters on January 9, has remained unreleased for over four months due to the delay in certification. Narayan attended the swearing-in ceremony and addressed the status of the film while speaking to reporters.

Congratulating Vijay on his political milestone, Narayan said, “We are waiting for the CBFC certificate. As soon as we get it, we will release the film.”
He said, “We are very happy. Congratulations to Vijay sir on becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. A new chapter has begun. I am sure he will fulfill all his promises. As soon as we get the certificate, Jana Nayakan will be released.”
Following the election results, production house KVN Productions also shared a congratulatory message for Vijay on X and described his victory as a historic moment.
