Welcome to the Jungle box office third day: Akshay’s film nears Rs 100 crore globally
Actor Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle continued its strong performance at the box office over the weekend. This comedy film has now reached close to the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide.

The film was screened in 10,867 shows on that day, taking its total India gross collection to Rs 76.50 crore and taking its total India net collection to date to Rs 63.75 crore.

The blockbuster film also increased its overseas business on the third day, collecting Rs 6 crore and taking its total overseas collection to Rs 16.70 crore. With this, its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 93.20 crore. Although the comedy film was released on June 26, its paid previews had started a day earlier.
Its box office performance began with zero previews earlier on Thursday, when it collected Rs 3.75 crore nett from 2,494 shows in India with an occupancy of 26 per cent. On the first day, first Friday, the film grossed Rs 15.25 crore from 10,892 shows, again with 26 percent occupancy. On the second day, first Saturday, it collected Rs 20 crore nett from 10,396 shows, with occupancy increasing to 33 percent.
On the third day, the film recorded a net collection of Rs 24.75 crore in India, while its listed occupancy for the day stood at 41 percent.

The morning show recorded 18.23 percent occupancy, which increased to 52.69 percent in the afternoon show and 65.15 percent in the night show.
Among major centres, the National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the highest occupancy of 954 shows with an occupancy of 47.5 per cent. Mumbai stood second with 752 shows and 49 per cent occupancy, while Ahmedabad had the highest occupancy among the three with 595 shows and 58.8 per cent occupancy.
