Vilayath Buddha to Mask: 9 South films to release in theaters on November 21
There are nine South Indian films hitting theaters this week, including Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Vilaith Buddha’ and Kavin-Andrea Jeremiah’s ‘Mask’ are among the films scheduled for release.

Nine South Indian films are set to premiere in theaters this week, offering audiences a mix of action thrillers, family dramas, crime stories and more. These films, releasing on November 21, represent Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada industries, each with unique storylines and notable actors. The lineup includes ‘Vilaith Buddha’, ‘Paanch Minar’, ‘Yellow’, ‘Radheya’, ‘Middle Class’, ’12A Railway Colony’, ‘Thaiyyavar Kulaigal Nadungga/Mufti Police’, ‘Eko’ and ‘Mask’.
‘Vilayatha Buddha’ is an action thriller directed by Jayan Nambiar, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is based on sandalwood smuggler Double Mohanan and his rivalry with Bhaskaran Master, who grows the rare sandalwood tree in Kerala. The story focuses on ego clashes and personal vengeance.
‘Mask’, a Tamil dark comedy action thriller directed by Vikarnan Ashok, tells the story of three individuals who attempt to recover stolen money while evading a determined detective.
‘Paanch Minar’ brings together Raj Tarun and Raashi Singh in a Telugu crime comedy thriller. The story revolves around Chotu, who inherits his father’s criminal empire, but has to face his uncle’s betrayal and an entanglement with a cab driver pretending to be deaf.
‘Yellow’, a Tamil romantic drama directed by Hari Mahadevan, stars Poornima Ravi and Vaibhav Murugesan. The story focuses on a woman named Aadhi who quits her regular job to travel in search of self-discovery and new experiences.
Kannada crime drama ‘Radheya’ stars Ajay Rao in the role of a criminal struggling with psychological turmoil. The film explores his criminal past, romantic history, and the aftermath of his imprisonment.
‘Middle Class’ is a Tamil family drama directed by Kishore Muthuramalingam. Munishkanth plays the role of Karl Marx, a man pursuing his dream of owning a farm while battling family pressures and unexpected challenges.
’12A Railway Colony’ is a Telugu horror thriller directed by Nani Kasaragada. Allari Naresh plays the role of Karthik, whose life changes dramatically after he falls in love with his neighbour, leading to many revelations and twists.
‘Thayavar Kulaigaal Nadunga/Mufti Police’, a crime thriller in Tamil and Telugu, is directed by Dinesh Lakshmanan. Inspector Magudapathy investigates the death of a writer, uncovering secrets in a gated community.
‘Echo’ is a Malayalam mystery drama thriller that reunites director Dinjith Ayyathan and writer-cinematographer Bahlul Ramesh, set in the hills of Kattukunnu.
