Cricketer Virat Kohli has officially announced his retirement from Test cricket after 14 years. He shared the news in a emotional post on Instagram. Bollywood celebs including Ranveer Singh, Sunil Shetty and Vicky Kaushal paid tribute to their amazing journey.

“It has been 14 years when I first wore Bagi Blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined this journey that this format will take me. It has tested me, shaped me, and taught me a lesson that I will take for life. I have given some depth about playing in the whites … I have given all this, and I think I can complete it. As soon as the news broke, many Bollywood stars paid tribute to Kohli’s incredible test career.

Actor Ranveer Singh commented on his post saying, “One in one billion! Go well, Raja! (SIC)”. On the other hand, actor Vicky Kaushal shared Virat’s post in his Instagram stories and wrote, “You did it in your own way and will be remembered in this way. Virat made his Test debut in 2011 and played 113 matches, scoring 9,230 runs with 30 centuries and 31 fifties. His highest score was 254 not out compared to South Africa. As captain, he led India in 68 Tests, won 40 matches, the most by any Indian captain. He helped India reach the number 1 Test rankings and two World Test Championships finals.
