Veteran Telugu actress Chittajallu Krishnavani passes through 100 due to age related diseases

Veteran Telugu actress Chittajallu Krishnavani died on Sunday 16 February. She was 100 years old. According to a report by 123telugu, he breathed her this morning, out of a permanent heritage.

Krishnavani started her career as a child artist in Sati Anasuya – Dhruvavijayam (1936), played the role of Anasuya. She later became an actress and singer who impressed the audience with her melodious voice.

According to Sakshi Post, she later married a Mirzapuram landlord, a filmmaker and head of Shobanachala Studio. Over time, she took over the studio and became a producer. His career was spread over eight decades, including Sati Anasuya, Darasa Yajna, Bhoj-Kalidasa, Jeevanjyoti, Tukram, Kacha Devayani and Maneedam.

He made history by singing Annamayya Kerthana on the Telugu screen first by singing Achutanand Jojo Mukund. Prior to independence, he performed Bhupathi Shampithin in Golbhama.

As a producer, he introduced NT Ram Rao in Manadesam (1949). The film also started Gantasala as a music director. He phiped Ramesh Naidu and singer. Played an important role in launching Leela. His daughter, NR Anuradha later entered the film production under his guidance.

Krishnavani cast Akineni Najster Rao in Kiluguram and produced several Telugu films. He also made a devotee Kumbhar along with Rajkumar in Kannada. The Tamil remake of Yamagola, which featured Shivaji Ganesan, was another notable production.

In the recognition of his contribution to South Indian cinema, he received the Raghupati Venkaiah Award from the Andhra Pradesh government under YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
