Trisha Krishnan has spoken out after being absent from the audio launch of her upcoming film, Karuppu, which fans took notice of and raised questions. Ahead of the film’s release on May 14, the makers shared a clip introducing the 42-year-old character Preeti. While interacting with fans about the revelation of her role, she hit out at claims of not attending the audio launch of the film on her own will and hinted at not being sent the invitation.

As the actress responded to fans’ reactions to the revelation of her role in Karuppu, some hidden messages were exposed. A fan’s post on" Trisha Krishnan responded to the question by saying, “Thank you. Even I had forgotten. Good to know that they have at least set a reminder now.”"
His response did not receive kindness from netizens, as once again he said, “Audio launch ku vartha unaku intha nakal laam thevaya? (Is this sarcastic tone necessary for someone who didn’t even attend the audio launch?).”" The actress didn’t hold back and shared a reply hinting at not being invited, “Looks like my invite got lost in the mail :)."
There has been a buzz online that the co-lead of the Suriya starrer is an obvious invitee to the event, while many others are talking about the need for an invitation regardless.
Meanwhile, the film, directed by RJ Balaji, tells the story of a lawyer named Saravanan who gets possessed by the deity Karuppasamy while fighting against the injustice done to marginalized communities. Apart from Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, the film also stars RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natti Subramaniam, Swasika, Sashivada, Supreeth Reddy and Yogi Babu, and will be available in theaters from May 14, 2026.
