Actress Tripti Dimri shares insights on playing Afshan in O Romeo. In his latest Instagram post, the actor reflected on his collaboration with director Vishal Bhardwaj and co-stars Shahid Kapoor, Avinash Tiwari, Vikrant Massey and others.
Actress Tripti Dimri shares her experience of playing the character of Afshan and working with the cast and crew of O’ Romeo. The film was released in theaters on 13 February and stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.
The 31-year-old expressed her gratitude for the challenges and opportunities presented by the role, highlighting her personal growth and commitment to the character.
Afshan’s character
In her recent Instagram post, Dimri described her character, saying, “Afshan is not just a character, she is fire and fragility in the same breath. She feels deeply, loves fiercely and fights with everything she has. This role challenged me, demanded honesty and pushed me beyond my comfort zone, for which I will always be grateful.”
Working with director Vishal Bhardwaj
Reflecting on his collaboration with director Vishal Bhardwaj, Dimri mentioned the passion and dedication that shaped the project. He wrote, “Our film has been made with immense passion, heart and belief. From @vishalrbhardwaj sir I learned how to surrender to the character and live the truth of Afshan.”
Collaboration with Shahid Kapoor and artists
When discussing her co-star Shahid Kapoor, Dimri praised his work ethic, writing, “@ShahidKapoor is an incredibly hard-working and supportive co-star. I had a wonderful time sharing the screen with him.”
Dimri also talked about reuniting with Avinash Tiwari after their previous collaboration Laila MajnuSaying, “@avinashtiwary15 From sharing a love story to standing as rivals, it has been a beautiful journey.”
