Throwback: When Priyanka Chopra opened up about facing mental health issues; ‘I didn’t know how to deal with my emotions’

Many Bollywood celebrities have opened up about their mental health struggles in the past and encouraged conversations about it. Today, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2024, let’s revisit the moment when Priyanka Chopra revealed that she couldn’t deal with her emotions. He also advised people struggling with such issues to find support.

In an old episode of The Ranveer Show podcast, Priyanka Chopra admitted to facing mental health issues in her life. “There were phases in my life, especially after my father (passed away), when I didn’t know how to deal with my emotions,” he said.

The actress remembered living in a new country where she didn’t know people and neither did people know her. He talked about reintroducing himself to a different country after establishing himself in the Indian film industry. PC revealed that she was feeling pressure. She shared that she was alone and it had a huge impact on her.

Priyanka revealed that she tried to overcome it by telling herself that it was okay to feel like this. The Citadel star also stressed the importance of finding support. “I realized that especially when you have something that you mentally feel like you can’t move forward, you have to find support,” he said. You have to find someone you can trust.”

Talking about herself, Priyanka said that she talked to her friends and people who cared about her. He advised others who were struggling mentally to find someone they could talk to. PC said that it is not necessary to be a doctor for this. “But don’t do it alone,” she concluded.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is currently busy shooting for Citadel Season 2, the second installment of her spy series. She will reprise her role as Nadia in this American series. The actress has been offering fans a glimpse of the sets of the show. PeeCee said that she and Nick Jonas’ daughter Malti Marie also visited him on the set sometimes.

Priyanka is also gearing up for the release of her Marathi production Paani, which will hit the theaters on October 18.
