The footage shows Odysseus and his men battling the elements, navigating uncharted territories, and facing dangers taken straight from classical lore. One of the most talked-about moments of the teaser shows soldiers hiding inside the Trojan Horse, a sequence previously previewed in a special IMAX presentation.

Brief but telling shots feature Tom Holland as Telemachus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope, offering a glimpse of the emotional stakes that await back home. The cast includes Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal and John Leguizamo.

While supporting the scale of the visuals, Universal Pictures highlighted the film’s technical ambition and revealed odyssey “Was shot around the world using brand new IMAX film technology.” The emphasis on large-format filmmaking is in line with Nolan’s long-standing preference for practical effects and intense dramatic experiences.

Written and produced by Christopher Nolan with Emma Thomas, odyssey Continues Nolan’s pattern of taking familiar material and reshaping it through his creative lens. In an earlier interview, Nolan summarized his philosophy: “Whatever I do, I have to feel like I completely own it. The initial seed may come from somewhere else, but it only has to come out through my eyes.”
