After months of waiting, the first full teaser for the highly anticipated The Last of Us season 2 is here. Pedro Pascal returns as Joel Miller’s popular video game character. At the beginning of the video, we see Joel sitting in therapy, and as he tries to get his emotions out, a montage of everything that has happened and everything that is to come in the new season unfolds .

Fans have reacted positively to it, with one person writing, “Oh this season is so sad.” Another person commented, “Looks like they acted out scenes from the game. So cool.” Another comment said, “One can only imagine what the global reaction will be.”

Earlier, a small glimpse was shared by HBO Max in which both the lead characters of Bela and Pedro were seen looking tense as they faced each other.

An adaptation of a video game of the same name, The Last of Us’s main plot revolves around survival in a collapsing city where people turn into zombies after being infected with a fungus.

In addition to Pascal and Ramsey, the season 2 cast also includes Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Dever, Young Mazzino, and Danny Ramirez. They will be joining the cast in the second installment of the acclaimed series.

Meanwhile, veteran Emmy-winning star Catherine O’Hara will make a special cameo this season.

The Last of Us Season 2 will premiere sometime next year.
