For a movie about aliens, superheroes, and schoolchildren with overactive imaginations, great grand superhero Has a surprisingly old school heart. It’s silly, anarchic, sweet, sometimes messy, but most importantly, it remembers something Bollywood has almost forgotten lately: kids deserve movies made for them, too.

Conducted by Manish Saini. The Great Grand Superhero – Arrival of Aliens Follows an 11-year-old boy, Deepu (Mihir Godbole), who relocates to a new city and, in an attempt to impress his classmates, creates an unbelievable story: his grandfather (Jackie Shroff) is secretly a superhero preparing to stop an alien invasion.

What starts off as a harmless childhood gradually turns into an adventure driven by imagination, innocence and the wild imagination of adults, unfortunately getting lost somewhere between EMI payments and existential crises. And amidst all the fabricated stories, two interesting men (Saharsh Shukla and Kumar Saurabh) enter the scene in their dazzling costumes, and finally bring the children’s imagination to life.

Let’s get this straight, this isn’t a sleek Marvel-style spectacle trying to compete with a global franchise or even one. Krish With stylish flying suit. In fact, the film works best when it fully embraces NativeA little raunchy, comic-book energy. The aliens are dramatic, the situations are absurd and the kids are permanently in ‘mission mode’. Many people may find this film fake, but the honesty with which it is told, great grand superhero Manages to tug at the right heart strings.

And then, Jackie Shroff enters the film as the lovable and old grandfather, who can either save the world or force you to find your forgotten glasses. In one of the film’s sweetest, funniest moments the fearless grandfather claiming to be the grandson is completely terrified by a lizard, causing his superhero aura to instantly dissipate.

Jackie is clearly having fun here, and that makes him even more entertaining to watch. It’s incredibly pleasing to see him playing a grandfatherly superhero role, rather than just another old man giving life lessons to the hero. He brings warmth, humor, and enough mystery that the kids – and honestly, the audience too – believe that maybe this guy really does fight aliens after dinner.

The film also cleverly portrays a universal memory of childhood: believing every outrageous story your grandparents tell you. Be it ghosts, hidden treasures, secret powers or impossible feats, grandparents have always been low-key master storytellers. great grand superhero builds its entire emotional center around that idea, and it’s here that the film becomes much more than any anarchic children’s entertainment.

The young cast deserves strong praise as the film’s energy relies heavily on selling the madness with complete sincerity. Mihir Godbole leads the film with sincerity and sweeping conviction, while Shivansh Chorge and Jihan Hodar, as his friends, bring surprisingly innocent sporting energy to the adventurous parts. Their chemistry feels natural, strong, and delightfully unsentimental, especially in those moments when they feel like they’re in the middle of a scary alien attack.

Pratik Smita Patil also makes her mark as an alien at the center of the chaos, bringing both intrigue and charm rather than turning the role into a generic sci-fi caricature. Bhagyashree Patwardhan’s powerful cameo and ‘Long live Mother India‘ The moment adds to the intergalactic drama, while Durgesh Kumar’s absurdist character fits seamlessly into the film’s eccentric little universe.

It also helps that the film doesn’t want to be didactic, aspirational, or even sentimental. It simply wants to tell a fun story about children, imagination, friendship and a very reluctant heroic grandfather. And in an industry currently obsessed with violence, dark universes and hyper-masculine saviors, this coming-of-age film with aliens, childhood chaos and grandpa energy feels really refreshing.

Of course, the film is not flawless. Despite being less than two hours long, it feels stretched in parts. The tonal shifts can also be uneven, and adults looking for tightly constructed sci-fi may sometimes find themselves fumbling with their phones. And even a momentary shift from alien invasion energy to an environment-saving mission may put many people off.

However, what great grand superhero Its sense of wonder is finally justified. Understands that children do not always require perfection; Sometimes they just need a story to make them believe that something magical might exist around them. Maybe in their school, maybe in their neighborhood, maybe inside their own home. or maybe in grandfather Sir. And that’s how cinema creates magic.
