The first look of Vijay Sethupathi’s Slum Dog 33 Temple Road is powerful
The makers revealed the first-look poster and title of Slum Dog 33 Temple Road starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samyuktha, as the film has completed shooting and is moving towards post-production ahead of its multi-language release.

Vijay Sethupathi celebrated his birthday with a surprise for fans, the makers of his upcoming film with Puri Jagannadh revealed its title, slum dogOn January 16, 2026 with an attractive first-look poster. The film is currently in post-production and is jointly backed by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur for Puri Connects along with JB Narayana Rao Kondrola of JB Motion Pictures.
The poster features Sethupathi in a serious, immaculate avatar which instantly grabs attention. He is seen with wild hair and a thick beard, wearing a beggar-like outfit with shoes and a flowing scarf. With a man wielding a giant sickle in a foggy slum and bundles of cash flying around him, the scene lives up to the darker tone of the film and its tagline, 33 Temple Road.
Samyuktha leads the film alongside Sethupathi, while Tabu and Duniya Vijay Kumar play the lead roles. Brahmanandam and VTV Ganesh are also part of the cast. Shooting began in July last year, with major action sequences completed before the team completed principal photography in October.
National Award winning composer Harshvardhan Rameshwar is known for Arjun Reddy And AnimalScoring the music. The makers are planning a pan-India release in five languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Sharing details about the film, the makers said that it will be a “mass and commercial entertainer”, adding that it “combines Puri Jagannadh’s style with Vijay Sethupathi’s strong screen presence.” He further added that Samyukta plays an important and emotional role, and he is “happy with her character.”
