Hollywood film The Devil Wears Prada 2 starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway continues to earn consistently at the box office. The film added another crore rupees. It earned Rs 1.50 crore on the first Tuesday, taking the five-day earning to Rs 1.50 crore. Earned Rs 18.55 crore at the Indian box office.
The film will cross the crore mark. It will cross the Rs 20 crore mark on Wednesday and its first week will be around Rs. 21 crores or so. It will be good for the first week, but its grip should have been better on weekdays. The Devil Wears Prada 2 should aim to see a big surge in its second weekend to get a clean hit verdict in India.
If it manages to perform as expected, it will emerge as the fourth Hollywood hit in India starring Meryl Streep. Based on current trends, it should surpass the lifetime cume of Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. Whether it will surpass Michael remains to be seen.
