The Devil Wears Prada 2 Advance Booking Box Office: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt starrer off to a great start in India

Hollywood film The Devil Wears Prada 2 starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt is scheduled to release this weekend. This much awaited sequel is getting great advance booking at the Indian box office.

As of 12 noon on 29 April, the film sold around 23,000 tickets for paid premieres and opening day across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Of this, The Devil Wears Prada 2 collected approximately Rs. 18,000 admissions at PVR Inox, while 5000 tickets were sold at Cinepolis.

Only a few days are left for the release of the film. If its pace continues in the coming days, it will register strong advance bookings. Based on the current trends, the film may take a similar opening to the film Michael released last week and if the reports come in its favour, it will perform strongly. Currently, the Meryl Streep starrer is priced at Rs. 7 crore opening in India including paid previews.

It will be interesting to see how this much-awaited sequel performs at the box office. If it manages to record a successful theatrical run in India, which is very likely, the project will be Hollywood’s fourth clean hit in India this year after Hail Mary, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy and Michael. He said, 2026 has been a great year so far for the Hollywood film business in India.
