Tere Ishq Mein closed its advance booking on a grand note. The musical romantic drama starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon sold over 75,000 tickets across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis. The film, directed by Aanand L Rai, emerged when the trade world was not expecting such pre-bookings.
For the record, Tere Ishq Mein recorded better advance sales than many big releases this year, including Jolly LLB 3, Sky Force, Sunny Sanskar’s Tulsi Kumari, Sitare Zameen Par, Son of Sardar 2, De De Pyaar De 2 and others. In fact, the Dhanush starrer even surpassed the advance sales of Rishabh Shetty’s divine hit Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) in terms of pre-bookings.
Based on current trends, Tere Ishq Mein is expecting a solid opening of Rs. 13 crore to Rs. 15 crores. If the film is successful in registering great walk-ins and spot bookings, it could go beyond Rs. The figure of 15 crores.
The music of Tere Ishq Mein has created a lot of buzz. Apart from this, Raanjhanaa’s Hangover has also created a stir regarding the film. If the film receives positive response, it may emerge as another clean hit venture this year.
Earlier, Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat saw the magic of good music and heart-wrenching love stories as the backdrop. The Ahan Pandey and Aneet Padda starrer took an opening of Rs 21.50 crore, while the Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa-led film surprised with Rs. Starting at Rs 9.50 crore. Now all eyes are on the first day figures of Tere Ishq Mein.
The only worry for Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s film will be the release of Dhurandhar a week later. Let us see how the film performs at the box office and whether it can match up to Syayara’s sensational performance or not.
