Telugu actor-royalty Pasoni Krishna Murali arrested in Hyderabad
Posani Krishna Murali, a Telugu actor and member of the YSR Congress Party, was arrested at his house on 26 February. The case was filed against him for his alleged remarks against a particular community.
Veteran Telugu actor and YSR Congress Party member Posani Krishna Murali was arrested by Andhra Pradesh Police on 26 February at around 8.45 am. A case was registered against him at Obulwaripalli police station under Section 196, 353 (2), and 111, which was read with Section 3 (5). The actor has been taken into custody and will be produced before the Additional Magistrate in Rajmpet.
A case was registered against him for allegedly making derogatory remarks against a particular community, causing discord among the groups. More information about his arrest is awaited.

In the video, Krishna Murali can be seen telling the police that he was unwell and undergoing treatment. However, the police asked him to cooperate and handed over notice to his family before taking him into custody.
This is not the first time Posani has faced legal trouble. In November 2024, he was booked to make derogatory remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Pasoni Krishna Murali is known for his comedy and character roles in Telugu cinema. He supported YSRCP (Yuvajana Shrimika Ritu Congress Party) led YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ahead of the 2024 elections.
