Tamil actor Suriya has officially announced his next major project, tentatively titled Suriya 45, with a formal puja ceremony. The film, produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, is set to be the most expensive production in the company’s history, joining the list of critically acclaimed films like Joker, Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi and Sultan.
The film will be directed by RJ Balaji, known for his work on Mookuthi Amman and Veetala Vishesham. Currently in the pre-production stage, Balaji has been developing the script for over a year and finalizing locations for the film, which is described as an action-adventure.
The music for Suriya 45 will be composed by Academy Award winner AR Rahman, who has previously worked with actor Suriya in films like Silunu Oru Kaadhal and Aayudhu Ezhuthu. The actor-musician duo aims to recreate the musical success of their previous ventures.
The film is scheduled to begin production in November 2024, with a planned release in the second half of 2025. The team is reportedly working on securing a high-profile cast and crew for the project.
