Suresh Raina to start with Tamil film production number 1: Chennai’s soul with me
Former international cricketer Suresh Raina is fully prepared to make his acting debut with ‘Production No. 1’. Raina’s Tamil film was announced at a grand event in Chennai.

Former international cricketer Suresh Raina is set to kickstart his Kollywood trip. He himself confirmed his surprised acting on his X post.
A brand-new production house, Dream Night Stories shared the announcement video of Raina’s first venture in cinema. The film has been temporarily titled ‘Production No.1’ and is directed by Logan, known for his work in ‘Maan Karate’, ‘Remo’ and ‘Gethu’. The teaser was launched in a grand program in the presence of industry stallwarts.
In the video, a person walking on the cricket field reveals the crowd cheering and whistling. Raina then shows the side scene from behind. The clip then turns into an image on a gold coin with the face of the former cricketer. Dream Night Stories shared promo on their X handle and wrote, “Chinna Tala Suresh Raina welcoming DKS Production No.1 ‘(SIC) on board.”
Raina is called Chinna Thala by his fans due to long -term cooperation with Chennai Super Kings, the Indian Premier League (IPL) team. Sharing the video on his X handle, the cricketer wrote to the actor, “From cricket fields to Collywood frames to bring Chennai’s Spirit.
Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings Powerhouse Shivam Dubey burnt the ceremonial lamps, which made the production house auspicious. Dube shared his excitement about the launch and enhanced his heartfelt desires to the director and the producer.
D Saravankumar, the producer of ‘Production No. 1’, previously served as the production executive of AGS Entertainment.
The launch event unveiled the staller technical crew behind the film, including composer Santosh Narayanan, Sandeep Ki Vijay of Photography, Production Designer Muthuraj, Sound Designer Rejul Pukutty and action choreographer Supreme Sundar.
The event featured attendance and Hardik Felicylian with several prominent names in Tamil cinema, including director Mohan Raja, Editor Mohan, producer PL Tapappan, actor Satish, director Vijay Milton, director Thirukumaran and director Bakyaraj Kannan.
Raina, when asked about the former team that MS Dhoni is probably joining the artists in the event, said, “They should answer that one!”
Speaking about the film, director Logan said, “It is a dream to start my debut as a filmmaker with the support of such talented team and Dream Night Stories. It is a dream. On board with names like Santosh Narayanan and Resul Pukutty, we are really ready to make something special.”
