Faye also shared her recipe in the video: She combines one cup of water, half a cup of vinegar, two tablespoons of salt, one tablespoon of sugar, a bay leaf and some black pepper into a pan. Then, she boils the mixture for about three minutes. After removing it from heat, she adds carrot slices and stores the mixture in a container.
In the caption, Faye wrote: “When we first met, my mother-in-law doesn’t speak English, and I don’t speak many Hindi words either, but we try our best to communicate with each other. Now, she Knows English words and is not shy about talking and expressing herself.”
