Simran criticizes co-actor for insensitive comments on ‘aunt role’
Tamil actor Simran publicly called a fellow actor to make an insensitive remarks about ‘aunt roles’. Expressing her shock, Simran said that she would portray such roles with dignity instead of playing the role of a meaningless or ‘dabba’.

Actor Simran recently responded strongly to an age comment made by a fellow female actor. Speaking at an event, Simran recalled a conversation, where he appreciated the actor for a role he played. In response, the actor commented that it was better than doing ‘aunt role’. Simran called the comment, labeled it as insensitive.
The video is widely shared online, saying Simran, “Recently, I sent a message to one of my female co-actors, stating, ‘I was surprised to see you in that role.’ Then I received a message saying, ‘At least it’s not an aunt role’.
She continues, “But, I think it is better to do 25 -year -old mother – aunt roles and main aunt roles. I have also done it in ‘Kannathil Muthetal’, moreover, compared to the dabba role and not doing anything. I feel like what we all want to do.”

Simran is currently seen with Ajit Kumar in ‘Good Bad Bads’. His dialogue and screen appearance have been praised by both fans and critics. The film released in theaters on April 10 has received a very positive review.
