She must be irritated: Sunita Ahuja supports Jaya Bachchan amid paparazzi criticism
Sunita Ahuja recently spoke out on Jaya Bachchan’s comments about paparazzi and defended the veteran actor. Ahuja highlighted the pressure of constant media scrutiny on celebrities.

Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan’s recent comments about the paparazzi have generated significant discussion online, prompting Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja to come to her defence. The controversy began when Bachchan questioned the behavior and background of photographers at a public event, raising concerns over the level of intrusion into the daily lives of celebrities. This has led to widespread conversations about the boundaries of media and celebrity privacy.
In her latest vlog, Sunita Ahuja addressed fans’ questions about her friendly approach towards the media, especially in contrast to Jaya Bachchan’s often critical stance. Sunita emphasized that each person reacts differently to media attention, and she encouraged understanding rather than judgment. Sunita suggested that constant media attention can often be overwhelming, especially for public figures who are constantly followed.
Sunita further explained that the root of such reactions may be irritation rather than malice. “Look, everyone has their own thoughts and ideas. Jaya madam might be irritated. I can’t say anything about her. She is too big. She wouldn’t like it. So, if she doesn’t like it, papa shouldn’t do it.”
Answering a fan’s question about her positive interactions with photographers, Sunita said, “Look, I have a lot of fun with everyone. I feel like I should wake up in the morning and have fun because there is nothing wrong in life. There is only one life. Human life is very hard to get. You should live your life with a smile. There is no point in fighting. In the end, we all have to move up. So, live your life with a smile. If Jaya ji doesn’t like it, so I can’t say anything about her. I love Jaya ji very much and will always love her.
Sunita also commented on the widespread dynamics between celebrities and photographers. She said, “Look, everyone has their own thoughts and ideas. Jaya ma’am would be irritated. I can’t say anything about her. She is too big. She wouldn’t like it. So, if she doesn’t like it, papa shouldn’t do it.”
Jaya Bachchan’s initial comments at the event were directly critical of paparazzi conduct. He was quoted as saying, “These guys out there dirty, wearing tight pants, with mobiles in their hands, they think just because they have a mobile, they can take your picture and say whatever they want. And the kind of comments they make – what kind of people are these people? Where do they come from? What kind of education? What kind of background?”
The veteran actor has often spoken about his discomfort with intrusive photography. In a conversation with Barkha Dutt, he said,Outside drain-pipe type, wearing dirty pants, with mobile in hand They think that just because they have a phone, they can take your picture and say whatever they want, as well as make any kind of comments.
There were mixed reactions to his statement; Some saw it as a call for professionalism, while others saw it as unfair criticism of those working under tight deadlines and unpredictable circumstances.
