NEW DELHI: Some stocks were down over 5 percent in Mumbai trade on Wednesday, even as the equity benchmark BSE Sensex fell 138.74 points to trade at 80,081.98 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Neopolitan Pizza & (down 14.07 percent), Huhtamaki PPL (down 11.35 percent), Chandra Bhagat Farm (11.11 percent), Tainwala Chem (down 10.86 percent) and Chennai Petro (down 10.55 percent) were among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty Pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks closed in the red.
The index rose 36.6 points to close at 24435.5.
On the BSE, Rajesh Exports, Yash Chemex Ltd., Edvic Capital, Coffee Day Ant and Global Tesil touched their fresh 52-week lows, while Mohite Industries, Interarch Building, Amber Enterprises, Firstsource and Coforge touched their fresh 52-week highs. . Today’s trade.
