Nowadays, this is a trend, the whole story will not be told to anyone. You only know your track, your character. And when I was told about the role, I found the character amazing. Recently, ‘The Bengal Files’ disputed the depiction of a famous Bengali freedom fighter Gopal Mukherjee, who had an important role in preventing the 1946 riots and atrocities on Hindus. His grandson, Shantinu Mukherjee, filed a complaint against director Vivek Agnihotri claiming deformation of facts.

The trailer of ‘The Bengal Files’ introduced Gopal Mukherjee as “Ek Tha Kashai Gopal Pat”.

Shantinu claimed, “My grandfather was called I wish (Which means but also called but also called Pattern (Meaning goat), which is derogatory. I think Vivek Agnihotri should do more research on this. Where did they get this wrong information? He has not contacted us. So we are opposing it and will continue to do so. In protest, we have sent a legal notice to Vivek Agnihotri and also filed an FIR. ,
