Pratyush Kumar revealed that the Sarvam Kaz smartglasses were designed and manufactured in India. He wrote, “Launching Sarvam Kaaz, our endeavor to deliver our models into your hands with our devices – designed and manufactured right here in India!” This will also make Cage the first India-made AI hardware.
What do Sarvam causes?
According to Sarvam, smartglasses are built to take AI away from screens and integrate it into everyday experiences. As Kumar explained, “Sarvam Cause takes intelligence from the screen to the real world. You wear it. It listens, senses, reacts and captures what you see. And you can create custom experiences for it with the Sarvam platform.”
The company also emphasizes that the smartglasses will run on its in-house AI models. Pratyush Kumar confirmed that Sarvam Kaaz will launch in May 2026.
Why is Sarvam AI making smartglasses?
Smartglasses are quickly becoming a notable tech product category. Meta has reportedly sold over 7 million units of the Meta Rayban in 2025 alone. According to reports, Apple may also launch its own smart glasses in the future. However, currently, Sarvam may be the initial player in this growing segment.
