Sarfira’s Radhika Madan recalls criticism over her uneven jawline: ‘In my mind, I’m still Kareena Kapoor’

Raheeka Madan is currently enjoying the success of her film Sarfira, for which she received critical acclaim. Recently, she spoke about her experience with cosmetic fillers and discussed facing trolling about her appearance and also revealed if she would ever choose to undergo surgery.

In an interview with News18 Showsha, Radhika, who has consciously chosen to resist the pressure of vanity, shared that she doesn’t look down on her peers who have undergone cosmetic procedures. The Angrezi Medium actress mentioned that she “doesn’t judge people who opt for such enhancements as they can boost confidence and improve self-image”, which she believes is very important.

Reflecting on her decision to oppose the beauty standards prevalent in the showbiz industry despite many people around her following them, the ‘Sajini Shinde’s Viral Video’ actress shared that she never felt compelled to do so.

She said she didn’t feel the need at the time. She recalled how people commented on her “slightly uneven jaw line”, and questioned whether she expected them to measure it with a scale.

However, she said that if she decides to undergo a cosmetic procedure in the future, she will do so without hesitation. She admitted that although she does not feel the need for such changes now, her perspective may change in a few years. She said that it will depend on how she sees herself at that time.

Talking about getting cosmetic surgery done, she said, “I still don’t consider it, but maybe after a few years I will. I don’t know, but I might go for it. It all depends on what my self-image is at that moment. I want it to stay the way it is right now. In my mind, I am still Kareena Kapoor. And even if it’s not, I won’t judge myself. So, I have no problem with all this.”

She revealed that in addition to receiving advice on cosmetic procedures, she also received a number of unsolicited suggestions on how to further her career in the entertainment industry.
