According to a new report from Korea, Samsung is increasing production for the Galaxy S26 series this month. The company initially planned to produce a total of 2.4 million units in April, of which 800,000 would be the S26, 300,000 S26+ and 1.3 million would be the S26 Ultra.

However, it looks like the Galaxy S26 is a surprise hit, with the S26 Ultra selling slightly better than expected, and the S26+ selling less than Samsung expected. The new, updated production numbers for April are 1.3 million S26 units, 1.5 million S26 Ultra units, and 200,000 S26+ units.
To prepare for this production increase in April, Samsung ordered more parts in March, which will now go into finished products. The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s high share of the family pie is partly explained by industry sources with the Privacy Display feature apparently winning over a lot of people.
Interestingly, Samsung has reduced its production target for the Galaxy A57 for April to 1.6 million units from the initial forecast of 1.8 million presented in mid-March. The company will also make 3.9 million units of the Galaxy A17 this month, down from 4.4 million predicted last month.
