The Galaxy S25 Edge was first launched for the first time during Samsung’s unpacked event, with the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup. While the details were limited at that time, MWC Debut in 2025 approved some things around it. The company seems to target the ultra-split smartphone segment, which aims to dismiss Apple, which is rumored to launch the iPhone 17 Air in September. According to the leak, the S25 edge will weigh only 5.84 mm thick and 162g. With this slim profile, it is not surprising that the battery will be compromised a little. Previously, we believed that the upcoming phone would facilitate the same battery similar to the at least S25 Vanilla model. But a little we knew that we were wrong. Recently a certificate listing suggests that the Galaxy S25 Edge S25 will pack less battery than the vanilla model.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Battery Leakes

A recent certification in Denmark confirms that the Galaxy S25 age will come with a 3,786mAh rated battery, which translates to a specific capacity of marketing of 3,900mAh. Interestingly, it is 100mAh less than the battery found in small Galaxy S25. Keeping this in mind, the battery life will not be the strongest suit of S25 Edge. Instead, its incredibly slim 5.84 mm profile, some battery capacity would be one of its major sales points.

It aligns with previous leakage that Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will have a 3,900mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 4,000mAh cell found in the standard Galaxy S25. The Edge variants were also recently seen on China’s 3C certification website, where it was listed with 25W wired charging support, which matched the charging speed of the base model.

Beyond the launch date, the recent leak has revealed more information about the design and build of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Some reports suggest that the phone can be thinner than expectation, measures only 5.84 mm thick and weighs less than 162 grams, leading to the thinnest and lightest phone of Samsung in the years.

The Galaxy S25 edge is expected to feature aluminum frames, while its back panel may be made of ceramic instead of glass or plastic. Some rumors indicate that Samsung may use a hybrid content, such as a glass infected with ceramic spells, to maintain stability while keeping the phone lighter.

On the front, the Galaxy S25 edge is called the same design as the Galaxy S25+, with a similar screen size. However, the back will vary, as the S25 edge will have only two cameras compared to the triple-camera setup on the Galaxy S25+.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, as has recently been confirmed by a Geekbench listing. It reportedly scored 2,806 in single-core and 8,416 in multi-core tests, indicating high performance. The phone will also come with 12GB RAM and will run Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7.
