The premiere of Sakamoto Days introduced Taro Sakamoto, a famous assassin who retired after marrying the woman he loved. Now overweight and running a mom-and-pop store, his past resurfaces when Shin Asakura, a visionary assassin, is sent to kill him.
Despite Shin’s admiration for Taro, their abilities were very different. Taro’s skill and Shin’s loyalty led to the alliance. Betrayed by his employer, Shin is ambushed but saved by Taro, who defeats the attackers. Taro offers Shin a job, solidifying their partnership.
Sakamoto Days episode 2 will introduce Lu Zhaotang, the daughter of a mafia boss who is pursued by assassins named Son He and Bacho. Sakamoto and Shin, skilled fighters, will likely aid him against these threats.
Resourceful and trained, Lu can attempt to deal with her attackers alone, but can also work together with the two. The episode promises intense action as Sakamoto and Shin face Lu’s powerful enemies while dealing with Lu’s complicated situation with the mafia.
Sakamoto Days Episode 2, titled ‘Vs.’ ‘Sun Hee & Bacho’ will be released on January 18, 2024 at 11 PM JST. Fans around the world can access the episode on this date, although the exact time will vary by region. In Japan, this episode will air on Tokyo TV, Osaka TV, Setoichi TV, Aichi TV, Hokkaido TV, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.
