Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently interviewed Saif Ali Khan, revealing details about his character in the upcoming Telugu action film Devraa: Part 1. The chat hosted by Sandeep featured Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Jr NTR and filmmaker Shiva Koratala as guests. Devraa is set to release in theatres on September 27.

Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga hosted a chat to promote the film. The video of this interview was later released by the makers of the film (Yuvasudha Arts) on their official YouTube channel.

On one occasion, when Sandeep asked about the story of the film and if his character dies in the film, Saif shared an incident from the shooting of the film. He said, “When I heard the story, it was really good. The film has a lot of exciting action and stuff. I thought the character was great. As the story progressed, I heard from Shiva sir that now the plan has been changed and the film will be in two parts. He also told me that my character will evolve in the second part and he is not dead. He is amazing.”

Sandeep Reddy Vanga also asked Saif Ali Khan about his preparation for the role in the film. Apart from this, he jokingly asked him if he remembers any dialogues from Devraa, as this is his Telugu debut film.

Saif, who played the main antagonist, explained, “I had to say these lines to a woman, and I was being cute. Suddenly, sweat started pouring down my back and I felt a thrill that I hadn’t felt in a long time. Even though it’s our country, and it’s another language, it was like a new thing for me and I felt nervous thinking I might not be able to do it properly”. When Sandip asked, “Do you remember any lines?”, Saif smiled and replied, “I knew you would ask me this”, making everyone laugh.

Apart from Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, Devraa also stars Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko in important roles.
