Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal married choreographer Dhanashree Verma in December 2020. But after being separated, the couple filed compatibility issues for divorce. On 8 April 2025, RJ Mahawash participated in the high-octane IPL match between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings in Tulanpur. Soon, she took her to her Instagram stories and dropped a video of cheering for the team of rumor lover Yuzvendra Chahal. In the clip, he can be seen checking out himself in a selfie camera. She then takes out the flag of Chahal’s IPL team and shows her support to the team.

Yuzvendra and Dhanashree’s relationship became a matter of the city when rumors of their entry for divorce went viral. Even though he never spoke openly about it, Chahal raised many eyebrows by removing all his pictures from his social media handle. Soon, Verma was no longer seen in the stand during his matches.
He mutually filed for divorce in the Family Court on 5 February 2025 and requested a relaxation of mandatory six months cooling-off period. After denying his petition, he went to the High Court where it was accepted. The Bombay High Court directed the family court to finalize the proceedings by 20 March 2025. According to a report by the bar and bench, Chahal paid Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree Verma as part of his divorce disposal.
Even though Chahal and RJ Mahwash are interacting with each other on social media, the radio jockey told the media that he is very single.
