Rowdy Janardhan glimpse: Vijay Deverakonda goes raw and ruthless in his next film
The first look and title of Vijay Deverakonda’s next film has been announced. Titled Rowdy Janardhan, the film is set to release in multiple languages in December 2026.

Title and first look unruly public are out, and they announce a blood-soaked, no-holds-barred comeback for Vijay Deverakonda. Unveiled at a special event in Hyderabad, the preview features Deverakonda in a shocking new avatar for his next film with director Ravi Kiran Kola, which marks a sharp change from his previous roles and sets the tone for a serious action drama set to release in December 2026.
In the glimpse, Deverakonda is almost unrecognizable – shirtless, drenched in blood, long hair and a bushy moustache, dressed in black lungi And wielding a knife. He is portrayed as a dreaded rowdy from Kalingapatnam, a role that instantly created intrigue among fans. The film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release in December 2026.
Established in the 1980s in East Godavari, unruly public Leans into a raw, rustic world. Empire The star has also abandoned his familiar Telangana accent, adopting a more region-specific dialect that adds authenticity to the character. The film is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. Ravi Kiran Kola, known for Raja Varu Rani Garu, is directing the project, which will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
On the technical front, Cristo Xavier’s background score and Anand C. Chandran’s visuals enhance the dark mood of the film, with the action sequences choreographed by Supreme Sundar.
