After receiving an enthusiastic response to its teaser, the makers of ‘Funky’ have officially announced the release date of the film. Directed by KV Anudeep and starring Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar, the comedy entertainer is set to release in April 2026.
The much-awaited KV Anudeep comedy ‘Funky’ has been making waves on social media ever since its announcement. After the tremendous response the teaser received, the makers have now confirmed that the film will release in theaters worldwide on April 3, 2026.

The teaser, released on October 10, showcases Anudeep’s trademark brand of situational comedy. Set in the world of filmmaking, ‘Funky’ pokes fun at cinema and its creators with sharp, self-aware writing and eccentric humor. Director KV Anudeep, who previously gave the hit ‘Jathi Ratnalu’, has returned to his signature comic space – full of loud, witty and quirky characters.
Vishwak Sen, who is venturing into situational comedy after a while with a specific role as a film director within the story, is in a new look and approach. The teaser hints at a performance full of fun, mischief and excitement. The film also stars Naresh and Muralitharan along with Kayadu Lohar in lead roles, adding to its comic appeal.
With music by Bheems Ceciroleo, ‘Funky’ is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios, promising scale, style and strong production values.
