This is the Realme GT 8 Pro and it is arriving globally on November 20. But we already have it at the headquarters and can show you the design of the phone up close.
Which is perfect, because the design is this phone’s strongest feature. Realme went with a swappable camera bump design, giving you a choice of not just the look but also the finish and color. The camera bump can be either rectangular or circular and can also have different looks – like a robot. Or, technically, you can leave the phone without a camera bump, defaulting to a bumper-less car-like appearance.

Realme sent us all seven camera bumps that will be available at launch, and we’ve rounded them all up for your viewing pleasure. In many markets including India, Italy, Spain, Poland and France the phone will ship with one included and one extra in the box and you can get the rest yourself. Realme has promised that it will sell these in all markets where the phone is available.
They attach to the phone’s camera island via two T4 screws. Realme provides a small Torx screwdriver and two additional screws with the phone.
The GT 8 Pro runs Android 16 with Realme’s UI version 7.0. It is a close relative of Oppo’s ColorOS 16.
Finally, let’s do the proper unboxing. Realme GT 8 Pro comes with a stacked box. You get a 120W charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, two extra screws, a small Torx screwdriver, and a case.
The phone comes with a circular island in the box, and the supplied case, in turn, has a circular opening.
Realme will also sell you an additional case with a rectangular opening and a rectangular camera bump. It’s really up to you how your GT8 Pro will look.
Even the case needs to be different to fit different styles of camera bumps
We have the Urban Blue Realme GT8 Pro, and it’s kind of a brown color. This is very less.
The phone has a flat glass front, flat matte metal sides and a worn-textured vegan leather rear panel. It is pleasant to touch, and it is very safe in the hand.
Finally, the Realme GT 8 Pro comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which we already benchmarked and found to be an amazing performer. So you are getting the proper flagship experience.
We also took some quick pictures of the Realme GT 8 Pro for you. But before we move on, we would like to point out that only the primary camera clicks photos in Ricoh GR mode, which allows you to shoot at 28mm, 35mm, 40mm and 50mm equivalent focal lengths with it. We have included photos shot at 28mm focal length.
Another thing worth noting is that the 200MP periscope telephoto camera can only click photos in high-resolution mode at 3x magnification. There is no option for 1x magnification. We have asked Realme about the possibility of adding 1x magnification for the 200MP hi-res mode with an OTA update, but while we wait for more details from the company, you can check out the pictures we clicked below.
