Actress Rani Mukherjee’s crime-thriller Mardaani 3 has been pushed to January 30, 2026. The new poster of the film reveals their race against time to rescue the missing girls.

The poster of the film released by Yash Raj Films on its Instagram handle reads, “She won’t stop until she saves them all! #RaniMukerji is back as fearless policewoman Shivani Shivaji Roy in #Mardaani3. Rescue hits theaters near you on January 30, 2026.” In the third installment, Rani has resumed the character of SP Shivani Shivaji Roy. The makers are envisioning the film to be a bloody, violent clash between Shivani’s good versus sinister evil forces as she embarks on an extraordinary race against time to rescue several missing girls from the country.

Rani had earlier revealed that the edge-of-the-seat thriller is going to be ‘dark, deadly and brutal’ and it instantly raised the curiosity among fans of the franchise.

Mardaani 3 is directed by Abhiraj Meenawala and produced by Aditya Chopra.

While Mardaani (the first film) dealt with the grim realities of human trafficking, Mardaani 2 explores the haunted mind of a psychotic serial rapist who dared to challenge the system.

Mardaani 3 exposes a dark, brutal reality of our society, continuing the franchise’s legacy of entertaining, issue-based storytelling.

Rani was last seen in Ashima Chhibber’s legal-drama Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway (2023). The film also stars Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta and Jim Sarbh in important roles. The film was co-produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani.

Rani also received the National Film Award in 2025 for this film.
