Director Rakesh Roshan recently opened about passing through angioplasty. He shared an update on his health status on social media, while urging over 45–50 years to be cautious about his heart and brain testing.

Rakesh shared about a doctor operating sonography for the heart during a regular full-body health check-up on his Instagram handle. He wrote, “This week has been really an eye-opening. During a regular full-body health check, the doctor operating sonography suggested that I also one for the neck. Incidentally, we came to know that, however, both my carotid arteries for the brain were blocked above 75 percent.

Emphasizing the “preventive procedures”, the director of ‘Krrish 3’ further wrote, “I immediately accepted myself in the hospital and completed the preventive procedures. I have now come back home, have completely recovered, and expect to come back to my workouts very soon. I hope that it inspires others to stay on top of my health, especially where heart and brain are concerned.”

He said, “A heart whistle and a carotid brain artery sonography (which is often completely ignored) is a necessity for all over the age of 45- 50.

Rakesh shared a picture from the hospital where he interacted with his medical team and joined hands with a nurse. Reacting to The Post, Rakesh’s son-actor Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Susan Khan posted red heart, folded hands and fist emozis. Actor Sunil Shetty commented with a red heart, fire, poor omen amulet and folded hands.

Actor Anil Kapoor shared fire and fist emozis in the comment section. Actor Tiger Shroff commented, “Looks fantastic, Sir.” Earlier, Rakesh’s daughter Sunaina Roshan had informed about her angioplasty.

The director, who also owns the production company Film Craft Productions, will support the co-produced ‘Krrish 4’ by Aditya Chopra. Hrithik’s direction in the film is the beginning, which plays the title role in the film.

Hrithik will be released next time in Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘War 2’ (2025) on August 14.
