Actor-comedian Rajpal Yadav held a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday, where his lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay made new allegations. During the press conference, Yadav’s lawyer made claims against Madhav Gopal Agarwal of M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd, who had invested Rs 5 crore. address missing. According to the legal team, the complainant’s actions were motivated by revenge rather than financial extortion.
The actor’s lawyer said, “He had said in the press conference that he never intended to send Yadav to jail. This is not true.”
The lawyer further said that Yadav had earlier also tried to resolve the issue legally.
“In 2018, Yadav had deposited a security amount in the court, and he was also ready to attach his property papers, but Madhav Gopal Agarwal refused to do so and decided to send him to jail. He is spreading lies and maligning Rajpal’s image. His intention was never money, he was to see Rajpal in jail,” he said.

Amid the legal tussle, Yadav also talked about his professional commitments and future plans. The actor revealed that he has bagged several massive branding deals apart from films.
Talking about the scale of his upcoming work and branding projects, the actor said, “Over the next 7 years, I have branding projects worth Rs 1,200 crore. I have secured 4 deals, which does not include films. Some of these projects are worth Rs 200 crore, while others go up to Rs 2,000 crore. The income is a mix of fees and equity in the projects. I also have 10 films.”

Yadav acknowledged the support he received during his recent legal troubles and said that people from across the country provided financial and emotional support.
Talking about the support and ‘sympathy’ he has received, he said, ‘I have received everything in the last 20 days. Children’s piggy banks up to Rs 1 crore! Through social media, and much more. I will issue a statement to thank them, and there are 4-5 people I want to specifically mention. I would also like to express my gratitude to those who wish to remain anonymous.”
He said, “I want to thank them for their sympathy, but I also want to ask them to send me their bank details. I just need their time, but I will return it with respect. However, I cannot repay the debt of so many children across the country who stood by me.”
