In the conversation, Rajpal recalled the moment when his career took a decisive turn. “JUNGLE It was a turning point, 150 per cent,” Yadav says without hesitation, referring to the film that changed the course of his life. The film’s impact went beyond industry recognition. For Yadav, this symbolized a change in how people at home perceived him.

“When I got recognized JUNGLE And went back to my village, the entire village and my area respected me. For the first time, people who didn’t even recognize my face started seeing me as their family. That film gave me the kind of respect that the industry gives you throughout your life,” he shared.

However, the most meaningful recognition came not from the industry or the audience, but from his father. “There was an incident from my childhood that I remember. Once, my father told my teacher, ‘Let him pass only if he deserves it, otherwise fail him.’ At that time I felt sad and angry. I went home and asked my mother, ‘Why would he say that?’ Later, my father explained, ‘Do you want me to keep bribing people so you can pass, even though you don’t deserve it? If you fail, I will decide whether you should study further or do something else.’ It felt very harsh at that time. But later I understood what he meant,” Yadav recalled.

That lesson of competence and honesty was completed after the jungle. The actor described intense personal exchanges with his father that strengthened his sense of accomplishment. “When I Sansui won the Best Actor Award for a Negative Role on Screen JUNGLEI met my father personally. I asked him one thing very honestly, ‘If you really feel that I have done a good job, then only tell me.’ Otherwise, don’t say it just for the sake of it.’ Because I knew that if he praised me without any reason, there would always be distance between us. He listened to me, hugged me and said, ‘Rajpal, you are now gone for life.’

What he meant was that this moment is more important than any award or accolade. Yadav also admitted that the film fundamentally changed his relationship with success and ambition. “After Jungle, when I got awards and recognition, I felt that whatever the industry had to give me in terms of recognition, it had already given me. Everything after that is not something I need; it is something I do with passion. That change completely changed my mindset,” he said.
