Allu Arjun’s much-awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule has started its collective performance at the box office. The film, directed by Sukumar, has recorded solid pre-sales across top national chains.
Pushpa 2 (Hindi) sells 4 lakh tickets in PIC on first day
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2 has sold around 4 lakh tickets across the top three national chains in the Hindi belt – PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Of which, the former recorded 3.25 lakh admissions while the latter contributed around 75,000 admissions.
However, better momentum was expected from Pushpa 2 in advance bookings, as it is considered to be the most talked about film of the year. The film surpassed Tiger 3, Thugs of Hindostan and Stree 2, but left behind War 2, Animal, KGF Chapter 2, Jawan, Pathan and Baahubali 2. It is ranked 7th among the top advances of all. time in hindi.
Still, it’s an impressive pre-sale. The film just needs good word-of-mouth to make a splash at the box office. If it succeeds in receiving positive reception, the mass actioner will break all existing box office records.

Apart from national series, the film also created all-time records in non-national series. Pushpa 2 sold 22,200 tickets at MovieMax, topping the previous Best Stree 2 in the series. It recorded over 50,000 admissions at Rajhans theatres, reaching an all-time high by a significant margin. Moreover, it also recorded the biggest growth ever at Mirage Cinemas.
Sukumar’s film is expected to be a hit at the Hindi box office. The mass actioner is eyeing an opening of Rs 57 crore to Rs 60 crore in Hindi. It will be interesting to see whether it will be able to break the opening day record of Shahrukh Khan’s film Jawan. Now it seems a bit difficult, but if Pushpraj’s magic works among the public then the tables can turn any time.
