Both the films released last week, Rahu Ketu and Happy Patel, were non-starters. While this was expected and predicted, they opened outside the predicted range, with Happy Patel opening slightly better than the predicted high-end of Rs. 75 Lakhs and Rahu Ketu is decreasing from the estimated low of Rs. 1.50 crores.
The three releases that entered the tracking this week are O Romeo, Tu Ya Main and Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain. It also serves as the final update for Borderlands 2.

First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 4-7 crores
Director Vishal Bhardwaj’s box office record has not been remarkable, although his collaborations with Shahid Kapoor, Kaminey and Haider have performed relatively better.
Inflation-adjusted, both those films made Rs. Will open around. 10 crores today, but that seems like a stretch for this film. Shahid Kapoor’s last two films had an opening of Rs 20 crore. 5.50 crore (Deva) and Rs. 6.50 crores (Tangled in your words Jiya). A similar range of opening is expected here too, with the film looking more in the range of Deva compared to TBMAUJ.
A teaser of sorts was released a week ago, which didn’t do much. The trailer may provide better clarity. Both Kamini and Haider received some appreciation for their music; One or two hit songs can help in the beginning here too.

First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 1.50-3.50 crore
The teaser released a few days ago was interesting, combining creature terror with romance. Having said that, while the teaser was interesting, it takes some effective marketing and hit music for new artists to take off.
It remains to be seen whether these factors apply. Expectations are low at the moment, although the film has some potential.

First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 0.50-1 crore
An adult-comedy film based on a TV series of the same name, which is said to have a cult following. The trailer released last week has some decent online viewership, but whether that TV following and those online views translate into theatrical audiences is unknown.

pre sale for border 2 Opened yesterday. Although they are good, they are not up to expectations. Sales suggest an opening in the low to mid 30s instead of Rs. 40 crores. Accordingly the forecast has been reduced by Rs. Rs 36-44 crore. 30-37 crores, with an accurate forecast of Rs. 32 crores.
