Junior NTR starrer Devra: Part 1 was released in theaters on September 27, 2024. Directed by Koratla Shiva, the action drama was a hit at the box office. Now, it seems that the manufacturers have made major changes in the script of the film and are planning to cast a top Tamil star with a skill.

JR NTR’s Dera 2 has a major cast addition?

According to a report by Telugu Chitralu, director Koratla Shiva has made significant changes in the script of the film and introduced a powerful character in the story. Allegedly, manufacturers aim to cast Tamil Star Silambanson TR (STR) for the role.

Although an official update about the same is yet to be made, it would be exciting to share the NTR and STR for the first time screen space. Additionally, the report suggests that another leading actress will join the actors as one of the leads of the film along with Janhvi Kapoor.

However, so far, these details remain speculative and wait for the official confirmation by the manufacturers.

About more about Devra 2

Devra 2 is an upcoming action that starred JR NTR in the lead role. Directed by Koratla Shiva, it acts as the sequel to Devra: Part 1. The first installment follows the story of Devra, the chieftain of a village who makes a living by smuggling goods, with his colleagues.

However, after a frightening discovery, it suggests that smuggling goods are actually weapons, Devra turns against operation and starts hunting all those involved in it. Betraying by his own people, he disappears, leaves a chilling message behind and there is a threat to those who keep smuggling.

Years later, his former colleagues live for fear of the return of Devra, while his son, the groom (also played by JR NTR), protests him to leave his family.

Apart from the RRR Star, the film also starred Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. In addition, actors like Kalaiyarson, Shine Tom Chacko, Narayan, Prakash Raj and others played integral parts.

Junior NTR’s next film

JR NTR is currently working on its next release, which is temporarily titled Dragon (NTRNEEL). Directed by Prashant Neil, the film also stars Rukmini Vasant and Tovino Thomas in lead roles. It has been slated to release on 25 June 2026.
